The History of Computers and the Internet

Early Computers

The first tools were abacus and other mechanical devices. Later, Charles Babbage designed the Analytical Engine, called the first computer idea. Ada Lovelace wrote programs for it. These early designs inspired the modern CPU.

Generations of Computers

The first generation used vacuum tubes. The second used transistors. The third had integrated circuits. The fourth brought GUI. Now we see AI and quantum computing. Example: E = mc2 and H2O.

Birth of the Internet

The Internet began with ARPANET. Later, Tim Berners-Lee created the WWW.

"The power of the Web is in its universality." – Tim Berners-Lee

It changed letters to emails and made global sharing possible.

Modern Era

We moved from dial-up to broadband. Smartphones are pocket computers. Cloud systems use queries. Error looks like Invalid input. Success looks like Done.
